http://indigoocean.org/meaningful-relationship-wired-world Meaningful relationships are just as important to introverts as they are to extroverts. It is the quality and quantity of the relating that varies for the two. Introverts draw energy from within themselves when they are alone and expend energy when they are interacting with others. Whereas extroverts draw energy from social interaction of any kind. So the bar for "worthwhile conversation" is quite a bit higher for introverts. That doesn't mean an introvert doesn't need relationship just as much. It just means introverts have to take care to make sure they are getting enough alone time in life to be able to enjoy relating at other times, and that they have to seek out those people who are willing to engage in meaningful exchanges. ...

He finds the Internet great at three things: one, connecting people; two, finding and sharing information faster; and three, increasing transaction speed. The Internet does not however develop the human bonds and the associated trust, sharing, emotion and interaction that come with them. Simon Sinek is a trained ethnographer who applies his curiosity around why people do what they do to teach leaders and companies how to inspire people. He is the author of "Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action". Sinek holds a BA degree in cultural anthropology from Brandeis University. View more videos at http://www.captureyourflag.com Follow us on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/captureyourflag Like us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/captureyourflag Transcription: Erik Michielsen: How has social media culture shifted your view on relationships? Simon Sinek: There was a time not long ago, you know, where relationships meant something different than they mean now. There was a time where – for example – you know, that a desktop meant something horizontal, and today a desktop means something vertical, right? I mean, that’s how technology has changed the definition of language. Um, when you say desktop, people think computer. You know, they don’t think a desktop, with a blotter and folders and things, that we actually now have on computers as well. Technology has also changed the definitions of human relationships. A friend is not somebody who you check their status, you know, your network is not on LinkedIn, a conversation doesn’t happen on Twitter and a dialogue doesn’t happen on your blog, you know? There’s a human experience, you know this, is an conversation, you know, this – it has reactions and advancing ideas, and it’s not just people taking turns to speak, which is what happens online. The Internet is incredibly, fantastic and valuable for three things. One, for connecting people. Amazing, amazing, right? Connecting people … for access to information, brilliant, right? And sharing information – access and sharing information, and for speeding transactions, to increase the speed of transactions. And it’s the Internet that has allowed people to build small business, because you can increase the span of transactions, you can connect to more people, etcetera. Find people from your child hood, whatever, Wikipedia - all this stuff, wonderful, wonderful. But the Internet is not great at developing real deep human bonds, where deep, deep, mutual trust exists. And one of the reasons is simple, is human bonds are human, and they require this, human physical interaction. You have to be able to look someone in the eye before you’re willing to trust them, right? This is why the videoconference will never replace the business trip. Because you can’t get a good read on somebody over videoconference. And even the blogosphere, you know, who, who, talks about that the Internet solves all problems, every year they descend on Vegas for Blogworld. Why couldn’t they just have their convention online? Why couldn’t they just all turn on their webcams and have a convention? They can do that, you know? No, it’s because nothing beats human interaction. And the amount you learn and the connections you make and the relationships you build, physically, are not only more efficient but deeper. And the Internet has yet to find a way that can reproduce them. You know, if others can say that it can, I’m open to it, but human relationships are in fact human. Um, and so, you know let us use the Internet for all that it gives us, and all its value, but let us not believe that it can replace things that, that are hard to replace.

Make sure your love interest is a highly interesting person or the relationship may not last. Once you've taken the Myers Briggs test you will know whether you are an: Extravert (E) or an Introvert (I) - Do you draw energy from connecting with others (extravert) or from being in isolation (introvert)? Intuitor (N) or a Sensor (S) - Do you focus on facts, the five senses and the present (sensor) or do you rely on your intuition with a focus on possibilities for the future (intuitor)? Thinker (T) or a Feeler (F) - Are you people-oriented (feeler) or logic-oriented (thinker) when it comes to your decision-making process? Judgor (J) or a Perceiver (P) - Are you a decisive person who likes to get right to the bottom line (judgor) or someone who likes to keep their options open (perceiver)? INTP Cognitive Functions 1. Ti - internal Thinking TiNe's use Ti to make decisions based on logical analysis done over time in their heads. Ti is the reason they prize rationality and objectivity. It also drives their insatiable thirst for knowledge and learning. Because it is their strongest preference, the functions below are said to "serve" the Ti. This just means that the Ti way of doing things gets priority most of the time. 2. Ne - external iNtuition Ne is the main way TiNe’s take in information. It means they use their intuition to find patterns, underlying principles, and ideas, to construct theories and frameworks, and to form connections as they talk, write, or create. It can make them seem quite "rambley" at times as they can jump from topic to topic based on the connections they're making in the moment rather than following a more linear path of conversation. 3. Si - internal Sensing Si is the TiNe’s third function, and it allows them to store all the interesting facts and knowledge they gather in their brain in an organized way for future reference. Si also makes the Ti-led internal world fairly structured and detailed in its analysis, and can often lead to a very strong sense of internal stability which can come across as arrogance to others. 4. Fe - external Feeling Fe is the TiNe’s last function. As a last function, it is inherently not as strong as the other functions and the TiNe generally prefers to only use it where necessary, rather than using to make all their decisions. Fe is the TiNe’s humanitarian side. It causes them to want to use their intelligence and creative problem-solving to help others and fix the world in some way. Once you've taken the test you will know whether you are an: Extravert (E) or an Introvert (I) - Do you draw energy from connecting with others (extravert) or from being in isolation (introvert)? Intuitor (N) or a Sensor (S) - Do you focus on facts, the five senses and the present (sensor) or do you rely on your intuition with a focus on possibilities for the future (intuitor)? Thinker (T) or a Feeler (F) - Are you people-oriented (feeler) or logic-oriented (thinker) when it comes to your decision-making process? Judgor (J) or a Perceiver (P) - Are you a decisive person who likes to get right to the bottom line (judgor) or someone who likes to keep their options open (perceiver)? With this knowlege you will be able to determine which of the 16 personality types you embody: INTJ - "Architect" - Imaginative and strategic thinkers, with a plan for everything. INTP - "Logician" - Innovative inventors with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. ENTJ - "Commander" - Bold, imaginative and strong-willed leaders, always finding a way - or making one. ENTP - "Debater" - Smart and curious thinkers who cannot resist an intellectual challenge. | INFJ - "Advocate" - Quiet and mystical, yet very inspiring and tireless idealists. INFP - "Mediator" - Poetic, kind and altruistic people, always eager to help a good cause. ENFJ - "Protagonist" - Charismatic and inspiring leaders, able to mesmerize their listeners. Some of the most important recent work done in the field on Personality Typing has been done by David Keirsey, who has created the theory of temperament associated with type. In his research, he has made observations that have allowed him to combine two of the four sets of preferences, into four distinct temperament categories. Each of the sixteen personality types fits into one of these temperament categories: SJ - "Guardians" - Keirsey describes the SJ group's primary objective as "Security Seeking." SP - "Artisans" - Keirsey describes the SP group's primary objective as "Sensation Seeking." NT - "Rationals" - Keirsey describes the NT group's primary objective as "Knowledge Seeking." NF - "Idealists" - Keirsey describes the SF group's primary objective as "Identity Seeking." ================= CONNECT WITH ME ================= Subscribe - https://goo.gl/6hfXzA My Website - http://bryantchambers.com/ Facebook - http://facebook.com/bryantchamberspage Snapchat - @BryChambers Twitter - @TheSecondLetter

http://indigoocean.org/meaningful-relationship-wired-world Meaningful relationships are just as important to introverts as they are to extroverts. This is one of the biggest introvert problems, not getting enough alone time to ever recharge. This is made worse by working in an office all week or working one's own business as if one was an extrovert, going to networking events week after week. It isn't a question of introvert vs extrovert. Both are equally valid ways of being. But you have to know which you are, and to what degree, and structure your life accordingly so you can be at your best. Just because you're introverted, that doesn't mean you can't have great relationships. They may just be "introvert relationships," which is another way of saying ones that honor relationship energy needs of the introvert, involve a depth of interaction, and that bring out the best in an introverted personality. For more on this, read my article on Meaningful Relationship in a Wired World, which will be particularly useful for those entrepreneurs who are spending lots of time alone online. All divination involves synchronicity, which says that relationships are defined by meaning. The problem is conflation. Have you ever mistook a persons personality for his character? Have you ever though a person's habits were here identity? Thats conflation! To live the medicine of synchronicity, and properly read the meaning of each symbol in your relationships, ask Ifa. 510.485.2336 | www.ObafemiO.com
